Gather with West U for a special guest-oriented Sunday worship and lunch Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019.
Why Friends and Family Day?
Many of us are looking for meaning, hope, connection, and community. At WUCC, we believe we have found all these in Jesus. If you’ve ever been curious about Christianity, or if you’re looking for a church family to call home, we invite you to join us for Friends and Family Day. This day is especially for you, with accessible worship, delicious food, an open Q&A with our leaders, and fun activities for children.
And just in case you’re wondering if this invitation is for you: We welcome everyone. Period.
What can I expect?
We will pray together, sing hymns and worship songs, share communion, and hear a lesson from the Bible. Our worship is somewhat unique: we glorify God in simple, voices-only singing similar to the churches in the Bible.
We have a nursery and classes for our youngsters during the sermon.
After worship, we’ll gather in our Fellowship Hall for a delicious, shared meal, and our leaders will be available for conversation and questions. In all, you can expect to be warmly welcomed and treated like family.
What should I wear? What should I bring?
Just come as you are, and bring a Bible if you have one. And if you don’t have a Bible, you’ll receive one as a free gift from us.
