Men’s Retreat, March 3-5, 2017
Every now and then, we need to pull away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives to reconnect with the things that are truly important in life. Come join the men of West University Church of Christ on March 3rd-5th as we spend a weekend at beautiful Camp Mohawk, nestled in the pines and oaks of Brazoria County. This weekend will be an opportunity to form new friendships, deepen our connections with one another, worship, and listen together to the words of our Creator. All men 18 and older are welcome. Teenagers 13 and older are welcome with a parent or guardian.
Registration and Cost
Click here to register, or turn in the form attached to the brochure to the church office along with a check made out to West University Church of Christ. The cost for the retreat is $50 dollars. This pays for two nights in our dormatory plus food and study materials. This invitation is open to all the men of our congregation, plus friends and family and anyone you want to invite. If the cost is a burden to you but you would still like to come to the retreat, scholarships may be available. Space is limited, so register as soon as you can.
Located just outside of Alvin, Camp Mohawk is close to home while still being far removed from the light and sound of the city. The facilities include
a dormitory with central air and heat, large bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a dining room with open windows looking out onto a small lake. We will also be using a beautiful onsite chapel as our meeting and worship space. The camp grounds give us a large fire pit for outdoor fun and worship under thestars. There’s a playground, volleyball court, basketball court, 1.7 miles of running trails, and fishing available in the park’s lake and in Chocolate Bayou (fishing permits required for adults 18 and older).
Camp Mohawk is located at 110 CR 193, Alvin, TX 77511. It is just over forty miles from West U. Church of Christ. You can check out the location at http://brazoriacountytx.gov/departments/parks-department/camp-mohawk.
